The company was founded in 2012 and it has achieved over 15 M€ yearly revenue run-rate by June 2015. In 2014, the company grew over 400%.

Nordcloud is the leading company in Nordics in providing cloud automation services and amongst the three leading companies in the whole Europe. Besides Nordics, it has offices in the UK and Germany. The company is privately owned. It have achieved the fast growth with relatively modest equity investments.

Gearshift has helped Nordcloud Oy to define and execute its growth strategy. We were involved in developing the initial business plan of the company, selecting its operational management and defining a funding strategy that has enable the original founders to retain the majority ownership of the company. Lately, we have been developing Nordcloud’s strategy for geographical expansion and differentiating offering.

OpusCapita (part of Itella Group) is leading provider of cash flow automation solutions in Finland...

OpusCapita re-defined its strategic focus areas and noticed that serving a certain non-strategic customer group with traditional service model consumed a major part of company’s production capacity. Based on this observation, the company decided to serve this customer group with a new service model that would cut down production costs.

Project:

To build service description and pricing model for the new model, and to test how the change would be welcomed within pre-defined customer group.

Results:

The result from business idea testing was that customers did not want to purchase the solution with new service model in consideration. Vice versa, they would rather abandon the solution. Based on this scenario analysis,OpusCapita decided not to go forward with radical service model renewal, and thus was able to save significant amount from R&D costs, not to mention lost customers and earnings.
