Software Factory is Department of Computer Science’s (in University of Helsinki) strategic investment to a new infrastructure supporting software engineering research, education and entrepreneurship.
The factory has been operational since January-15th, 2010 and the plans, future visions as well as the first results will be published in the opening day March-4th, 2010. The official opening will be held in Helsinki University’s Kumpula Campus, Department of Computer Science, Gustaf Hällströminkatu 2b, Exactum. The opening day is filled with scientific festivities, talks, presentations, arguments and cocktails. There are more than 150 guests invited outside University of Helsinki.
Software Factory is a result of Tekes-funded Tivit’s Cloud Software research project and the collaborators are HIIT, Gearshift Group, Aalto University and Metropolia university of applied sciences.
