Digital Signage 2013. Results, forecasts and expectations.

Some time ago, we worked on a project related to the theology of Digital Signage. Among other things, we analyzed market signage in Russia. What was happening in this sector over the past year? What is the state of the market today and what trends are evident in the development of the Russian market of Digital Signage?

Working on the project, we are faced with a lack of research in the field of  Digital Signage  in Russia. More interesting was found in network resources study by AUVIX *.

Faced with the same problem as we are – lack of information – the company conducted its own survey of leading Russian players in  Digital Signage . **

The main trend of the Russian market Digital Signage remains, as before, the low level of penetration. In major cities such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, the technology is already sufficiently well known, whereas regions remain poorly covered.

This is due mainly to the lack of awareness of the regions with respect to this technology.

On the other hand, it says that in Russia there is a huge potential for development. On January 1, 2013 Russia has 15 cities with a population of resident population of a million or more. Therefore, in the long term there is a real opportunity at times to increase the growth of the industry, attracting regions.

According to survey participants, Digital Signage market in the first five months of 2013 compared to the first five months of 2012 showed insignificant growth.

In the short term (6-12 months) and long term, the majority of respondents expect growth, and in the long term – a significant growth.

Rapidly developing market segments was named fast food restaurants, changing the now-familiar light panels on the digital menu. High growth rates have shown operators advertising in digital networks. This sector has increased compared to last year.
